The objective of this piece was to design a unique and engaging jewellery lookbook for Paris Jewellers to be distributed to consumers across Canada.

This refreshed lookbook concept for Paris Jewellers incorporates photographs exclusively of real employees, and space is allotted throughout the book to share their personal stories.

Process

To give this lookbook a unique appearance and to differentiate it from competitors' flyers, the lookbook was designed in a horizontal, rectangular orientation. Wireframes were developed to ensure consistency among margins and text sizing. Based on these designs, templated pages were developed within Adobe InDesign.

Rationale

The final design of the lookbook follows a grid system with slight deviations throughout, with photographs added for some variety among the pages. Soft grey boxes sit behind all the pieces featured to anchor the jewellery and give each piece a strong presence. Because Paris Jewellers wants to celebrate the stories of their employees and ambassadors, full-page spreads with employees’ quotes on love and happiness are included as insets alongside their photographs on the jewellery grid pages. The final result is a clean, elegant retail jewellery flyer that also celebrates personal stories with real people.
